About Headin' Home Pet Rescue
After placing adoptable dogs and cats into homes through Mapleview Animal Hospital since 1994, Dr. Jim decided that it made more sense to begin a rescue group separate from the hospital. The 501(c)3 status was granted in 2008 and the rescue received a name: Headin' Home Pet Rescue.
Headin' Home Pet Rescue typically takes in dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. Bunnies and guinea pigs also sometimes come to the rescue from a variety of situations. We find ways to support animals that come from other shelters that are at full capacity, as well as those whose families can no longer care for them
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the best care to our animals during their stay at the rescue and place them in a home dedicated to helping beyond their needs.
